Stage 5 Outdoor Education: Overnight Expedition to Warrumbungle National Park!
Narrabri High School Stage 5 Outdoor Education class recently took on an unforgettable overnight expedition in the stunning Warrumbungle National Park, showcasing the skills they’ve developed in our Outdoor Education program.
Setting off from Camp Pincham, the class hiked to Balor Hut, where they camped overnight before taking on the challenging Breadknife and Grand High Tops Loop. On day two, they took their adventure even further by reaching the summit of Bluff Mountain at 1,250 meters, standing atop one of the region’s most iconic peaks. The descent back via the West Spirey Creek Trail brought them full circle to Camp Pincham, completing a rewarding 17 km loop through an awe-inspiring landscape.
We are incredibly thankful to the Warrumbungles Environmental Education Centre for their support, guidance, and expertise, which made this experience even more rewarding for our students. We’re also so proud of our students for the effort, resilience, and teamwork they showed throughout this challenging and inspiring journey!
