Narrabri High School Garden Club members Lilly and Zoe represented our school at the Pollinator Week event held at the Narrabri Community Garden last week.
Our students spoke to the audience telling them about our school garden and outdoor learning space and the types of things grown in our garden. They also had the opportunity to plant some trees with students from Narrabri Public School, Mayor Darrell Tiemens and Mr Craig Devine from Narrabri Shire Council Park and Gardens.
Australian Pollinator Week acknowledges our important and unique insect pollinators during our southern spring (November). It is a designated week when communities, businesses and organisations can come together to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators and support their needs.
