NHS Student Representative Council - Year in Review

SRC Year in Review

Celebrating the incredible work of our Narrabri High School SRC this year!

This year, Narrabri High School’s Student Representative Council (SRC) has demonstrated exceptional dedication, teamwork and leadership, making a positive impact on our school and the wider community.

Highlights of the Year:

  • Shrek Movie Night and Hollywood Disco: The SRC organised these fun-filled events, bringing students together for entertainment and camaraderie.
  • Dolly’s Day: To raise awareness of bullying and promote kindness, the SRC led meaningful activities in support of this important cause.
  • Pride Week: They celebrated inclusivity and diversity, fostering a welcoming environment for everyone.
  • Remembrance Day Service: Representing the school with pride, our school leaders attended the Narrabri Remembrance Day service, paying respect to those who have served.
  • Toys and Tucker Fundraiser: Continuing an annual tradition, the SRC collected donations and hosted fundraisers to support local families experiencing hardship during the holiday season.
  • Candy Cane Drive: To spread holiday cheer, they organised this delightful initiative, bringing smiles across the school.
  • Weekly Volunteering at the Shared Table:
All SRC students dedicated their time to assist in meal preparation, serving and creating a welcoming environment for community members in need on a weekly basis. This consistent effort helped strengthen ties between the school and the broader community while providing valuable support to those facing food insecurity.
  • World’s Greatest Shave: This year, the SRC spearheaded the school’s involvement in the World’s Greatest Shave, a fundraising event aimed at supporting individuals affected by blood cancer. The SRC’s efforts not only raised funds but also promoted empathy and social responsibility among students.

Thank you to our amazing SRC for their hard work and commitment to making our school a better place. We are so proud of all you have achieved this year!
