The beginning of the Year 6 into Year 7 Transition has been a success with a Meet and Greet evening on Monday, June 17. It was a great opportunity to further build strong relationships with students and families as students take their next step in their education.
On the evening several staff discussed programs at the school, modelled experiments, and provided more information about working together to support students to succeed and thrive. Stalls were set up on the evening for our staff to meet families and students to explore a variety of opportunities available at the school. Parents and Year 6 students also had the opportunity to meet with the Year 7 adviser for 2025, Miss Samantha Coppin.
Families explored how High School differs from Primary School and how we can partner to make the process easier. Clontarf, our Aboriginal and Wellbeing teams as well as representatives from the P & C joined the staff to see the academic, social, emotional, sporting opportunities and career pathways at Narrabri High School.
Information will be shared early next term about school visits and immersion days for Year 6 students.
