Narrabri High School had a successful day of NAIDOC celebrations on Wednesday, August 7th. It was a great day with invited guests, family and friends participating in the activities run by students. Students cooked and catered the morning tea for the Elders and official guests. The assembly speech, presented by our guest speaker Emmjay Baker, spoke to the importance of applying the theme in everyday life. Students showcased pride in their culture by performing dances choreographed by Gomeroi dancers for Elders, guests and school community.
We are immensely proud of the efforts of the JAECG and all the students involved in organising and helping with the activities on the day."
“On behalf of Myself and Narrabri High School I would like to thank Family and Community members for helping celebrate NAIDOC with staff and students today we appreciate your ongoing support what a fabulous time had by all.”
